Andrew Duncan has been a licensed physical therapist since 1991 when he graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo with his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. Upon completion of entry-level training, he worked as a physical therapist for two years and then completed his post-professional Master’s degree in Human Movement Science and became certified in Athletic Training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He then underwent board certification by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and became a Sports Certified Specialist in 2002. While working as a manager at rehabilitation corporations and later at an academic health care center, he developed a passion for the business of healthcare and went on to complete his MBA from the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester and has also earned his DPT from Boston University. Since 2012, Duncan serves as the Director of Health Care Administration for Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation at the University of Florida College of Medicine and Co-Director of the UF Health Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Institute. Additionally, he holds an adjunct clinical lecturer appointment in the University of Florida Department of Physical Therapy providing instruction in the Patient and Families First and Professional Issues courses of the DPT curriculum.
