Open Houses
We are offering virtual open houses until further notice. Please sign up to attend using the link below!
All applicants and prospective students are highly encouraged to attend one of our DPT Open House Events. The open houses are our most comprehensive informational event. Participants have an opportunity to learn more about the curriculum, clinical education, admissions, financial aid, and student activities. Participants will also have an opportunity to meet faculty and students, as well as tour our facilities. Open Houses are three hours in length and are offered twice every semester, including summer. Advising Sessions
The DPT Program offers virtual advising hours for prospective students to ask questions regarding the DPT program. Please sign up here.
DPT Program Tours
In-person facility tours are currently unavailable.
DPT Program tours are available to prospective students interested in viewing the program’s classrooms, lab spaces and other places students frequently spend time in the UF Health Science Center. Tours are led by current DPT students and are approximately 45 minutes in length. No sign up is necessary. Dates and times of DPT program tours can be found on the PT Calendar. Please note that DPT program tours do not include an advising session as described above.
High school students interested in physical therapy
Physical Therapy programs are graduate level programs, which means that an applicant must complete a four-year bachelor’s degree prior to applying. We usually find that visiting high school students are served better by meeting with an advisor who can provide guidance on undergraduate programs. Most PT programs, including ours, will accept any undergraduate major. The University of Florida offers various undergraduate majors. UF also has general pre-health advising.
