Procedures, Deadlines and Decisions

Student studying on campus

Applicants must apply to the University of Florida via the Office of Admissions application web page AND to PTCAS. PTCAS typically begins accepting applications in July. Applications submitted early in the fall semester are encouraged. Applicants taking summer classes are asked to finalize their PTCAS applications after the summer semester is complete to ensure those grades are included in the review process.

Admission Decisions

Admission decisions are based on many factors, including overall academic record, letters of recommendation, personal statement, observation experiences, and achievement testing performance, among others. The DPT Program does not conduct interviews.

Decisions are emailed to applicants on a rolling basis between the months of January and March. Offers of admission cannot be deferred for future years. All applicants can expect a decision by email.
