PHHP Outstanding Alumni 2022

The College of Public Health and Health Professions is proud to recognize 13 graduates with 2022 Outstanding Alumni Awards. Among this group are two alumni from the department of physical therapy.

Congratulations to Dino Medic (DPT, Class of 2018) and Tim Richardson (BHS in Physical Therapy, Class of 1992), who will be recognized at a celebration on October 15 during the PHHP Alumni Reunion.

Dino Medic

Originally from Jacksonville, FL, Dino Medic earned both his undergraduate degree in 2015 and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from UF in 2018. Dino relocated to Atlanta, GA to join a private practice in physical therapy and PT Solutions, as an orthopedic resident. At the conclusion of residency, Dino became a Clinical Director overseeing a clinic that specialized in treating patients with chronic pain. In the summer of 2020, Dino relocated once more to take on a Senior Clinic Director position in Austin, TX. Currently, Dino serves as one of PT Solutions’ Directors of Clinical Operations, overseeing the clinical quality and patient outcomes of the 20 outpatient clinics in Texas. 

Dino has helped develop relationships with multiple hospital partners to allow for more access to physical therapy for local communities, helped deliver multiple continuing education courses, headed various recruiting and marketing efforts, in addition to serving as a mentor within the Orthopedic Residency program. In his role, Dino will also oversee all future state-wide growth in the Dallas and Austin markets at PT Solutions. Dino lives in Austin with his wife, Kelly, who is also a Gator DPT alum!


Tim Richardson

Tim Richardson is a Franchise Regional Consultant for Fyzical, LLC. Fyzical Therapy & Balance Centers is the #1 Physical Therapy Franchise and one of the 5000 fastest growing health companies in America. Prior to his current role, he was the VP of Operations at Fyzical, where he served small business owners and helped brand their practices, grow their revenues and build value with a franchise model. Overall, he helped the company to grow to over 240 franchise locations.  

Prior to joining Fyzical, Tim was the Director of Quality at Suncoast RHIO, where he handled PQRS and Federal Quality Measure implementation for various medical groups. He was also President of Bulletproof Expert Systems, which provided the link between process and outcomes in physical therapy outpatient clinics. Prior to that, he was the Owner & Manager of Medical Arts Rehabilitation for 13 years, building the clinic from a start-up and later expanding to three clinics. 

His many years of physical therapy practice does not limit him to any aspect of the physical therapy industry, from treatment and diagnosis to management and compliance.  

Tim graduated with a bachelor’s in health science in Physical Therapy from UF in 1992.
