On Tuesday, April 27 at 7 pm EST, Emily Fox, PT, DPT, PhD, research associate professor in the Department of Physical Therapy, clinical research scientist within the Brooks/UF-PHHP Collaboration, and director of neuromuscular research at Brooks Rehab, will present “Strategies to Augment Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation: Promoting Breathing and Walking Recovery.”
Spinal cord injury impairs critical functions such as breathing and walking. Although rehabilitation can enhance outcomes, gains are often limited and difficult to sustain. New strategies to promote neuroplasticity and augment rehabilitation are emerging, many of which can be used in combination with rehabilitation and in real-world clinical settings. This webinar will discuss new strategies, early clinical outcomes and next steps in translation to SCI clinical care.
