On Friday, June 19th, or Juneteenth, the Student Physical Therapy Association (SPTA) with the help of Doctor of Physical Therapy classmates Justus Norman, Monique Deveaux, and other peers in the DPT class of 2021 and 2022, coordinated the “Chronic Black Pain: Implications of the Racism Epidemic for Physical Therapists” panel discussion.

After the webinar, the SPTA encouraged all participants to donate to the National Association of Black Physical Therapist. This organization was founded to address the emotions and feelings of the lone minorities embarking on a journey to become physical therapists and physical therapy assistants.
