K12 Rehabilitation Research Career Development (RRCD) Program annual meeting

K-12 2015 Annual MeetingThe Physical Therapy department hosted the K12 Rehabilitation Research Career Development (RRCD) Program annual meeting at the UF Hilton June 22nd – 23rd. More than 60 RRCD program preceptors, scholars, and advisory board members met to review program goals and achievements in pursuant of the RRCD Program’s goal of educating and training future rehabilitation scientists. Along with UF K12 members, the meeting was attended by program members of The University of Texas Medical Branch and The University of Southern California K12 consortium. UF, UTMB, and USC have developed the RRCD program in collaboration with a network of NIH National Center for Medical Rehabilitation Research (NCMRR) research infrastructure cores, VA Centers of Excellence, rehabilitation research institutes, and physical and occupational therapy departments nationwide. PT department Professor and Chair Krista Vandenborne, PhD, PT, serves as the K12 Co-Deputy Director.
