Dr. Kim Dunleavy Joins PT Dept.

Dr. Kim DunleavyThe Physical Therapy department welcomes newly hired Clinical Associate Professor Kim Dunleavy PhD, PT, OCS. Dr. Dunleavy served as an Associate Clinical Professor and Physical Therapy Program Director at Wayne State University. She remains active in Health Volunteers Overseas (HVO), a non-profit organization dedicated to improving global healthcare through education and has served as Chair of the Physical Therapy Overseas Committee; the HVO Board of Directors for four terms; and on the technical advisory board for a USAID funded Physical Therapy continuing education grant in Rwanda. Dr. Dunleavy has been actively involved in global physical therapy educational projects by providing needs assessment, curriculum design, educational material development across global audiences, professional continuing education development and USAID grant evaluation in Vietnam, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Haiti and Rwanda. She will contribute to the interprofessional education, service learning, and musculoskeletal components of the UF physical therapy doctoral (DPT) curriculum.
