The Doctor of Physical Therapy Program has been selected as one of ten physical therapist education programs of excellence in the United States. The Program will be visited by a research team studying elements of excellence and innovation in academic education and clinical education. The visit will occur April 22nd and 23rd. The part of the study that UF DPT will contribute to centers on describing in typical and promising curricular, teaching, and assessment practices in physical therapist education or clinical practice. The elements of excellence that are identified in academic and clinical education will then be used in a larger Delphi survey study. The survey will focus on identifying the feasibility of specific changes for program improvement including barriers that would need to be addressed to implement these elements of excellence.
