Terese Chmielewski is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical
Therapy and an Affiliate Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics
and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Chmielewski’s research is focused on the identification and treatment
of neuromuscular impairments after musculoskeletal injury for the purposes
of improving rehabilitation outcomes. A particular research interest is
neuromuscular impairments after knee injury that may contribute to the development
of post-traumatic knee osteoarthritis. Dr. Chmielewski uses a combination
of clinical and biomechanical testing in her research approach. (full
