George Receives Prestigious APTA Award

Dr. Steven George Steven Z. George, Ph.D., P.T., Associate Professor, Director of the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program and Director of the Brooks-PHHP Research Collaboration, has received the American Physical Therapy Association’s 2016 John H.P. Maley Lecture Award for contributions to physical therapy clinical practice. Read more here.
Dr. George was also one of two PT faculty members to lead discussions at the APTA Section on Research Piecing Together the Pain Puzzle: The Biopsychosocial Model retreat held last month at Bryant University in Smithfield, RI. Dr. George presented “Biopsychosocial Influence on Shoulder Pain” and Dr. Mark Bishop, PT, PhD presented “Experimental Models of Back Pain.”
