Dr. Gordon S. Mitchell Joins PT Dept. through UF’s Preeminence Campaign

After 17 years as Chair of the Department of Comparative Biosciences at the University of Wisconsin, Dr. Gordon S. Mitchell has joined the Department of Physical Therapy as a Professor hired under the UF Foundation’s Preeminence campaign. Dr. Mitchell will start the new Center for Respiratory Biology and Rehabilitation and is a new member of the McKnight Brain Institute. Dr. Mitchell is one of the founding faculty members of the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine and is one of the world’s top experts in the area of neuroplasticity and the respiratory motor control system.
